FAQ

Do you take insurance?

I am not in-network with any insurance companies at this time; however, I will gladly provide a Superbill at the end of each month for you to submit to your insurance company. Checking your benefits and following up with your insurance company for reimbursement is your responsibility. Payments are processed directly to me after each session through a secure payment processing server.

What is the scheduling process like?

Sessions are typically scheduled in advance, ideally at the same time and on the same day for continuity and consistency. However, I understand that some clients may have less predictable or irregular schedules. In these cases, I am willing to accommodate the specific needs of each client on a week-by-week basis. I reserve space in my schedule to ensure ample time and flexibility for clients
who require it.

How often are sessions held?

It's generally recommended to begin with weekly sessions to maximize the benefits of therapy or coaching. Current research from the American Psychological Association indicates that around 15-20 sessions are typically needed for over half of clients to achieve significant improvement and desired outcomes. Based on my experience, a minimum of 90 days with weekly sessions yields substantial therapeutic results. After this initial period, we can reassess the need for weekly sessions and potentially transition to biweekly or monthly maintenance check-ins.

Do you offer payment plans for your coaching programs?

Coaching programs may be divided into three payments. Please communicate with me directly to set a payment schedule.

Can I get a Good Faith Estimate?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. This means that if you provide less than 48 business hours' notice of a cancellation, you will be charged the full session fee. I will do my best to accommodate any rescheduling requests made in advance, and the fee will be waived if we can eschedule another session within the same week of your appointment. This depends on availability. if the cancellation happens to be less than 48 hours. As I understand that unexpected events may occur, I offer a one-time courtesy cancellation fee waiver. In any case I will always do my best to accommodate individual needs.

To make the most of the therapeutic process, consistency and motivation are key. Your active commitment to growth, self-reflection, and self-improvement is essential for our work together. Your dedication is the driving force behind your progress, and I am here to support you every step of the way.

Is there a grace period to starting sessions? What if I'm running late?

A 5-minute grace period is allowed, and the same courtesy extends to me as well. We're all human, and there are times when we need that extra cup of coffee or a quick bathroom break. No need for text if it's within the first 5 minutes of our session. If you anticipate being more than 5 minutes late, please notify me via text. Any lateness will count towards the session minutes, as this respects both our time and the time of other clients. In addition, any lateness 15 minutes or more without call or text will be considered a missed session and will incurr the full session fee. Coaching program clients, same policy applies.

What is the difference between psychotherapy and coaching?

Psychotherapy is a therapeutic process typically conducted by licensed mental health professionals. It focuses on addressing and healing emotional and psychological issues through a structured, evidence-based approach. Coaching is a collaborative, goal-oriented process that empowers individuals to enhance their personal or professional lives, improve specific skills, and achieve goals. It tends to be more future-focused, helping clients set and work towards goals, without delving deeply into past traumas or psychological issues.

Meditation is not a vacation from hard things. It’s the training ground for hard things.
It helps you meet your life without being consumed by it.
